Finding Parts for Aesthetic Laser Machines

If you are planning to purchase any sort of cosmetic laser equipment, you definitely need to thin about finding parts for cosmetic laser machines before you make your decision. One thing that all aesthetic laser machines have in common is that they are made up of many different components. Another thing that they share is the fact that almost all of them will have to be repaired at some point in time. Unfortunately, that’s where the similarities end.

You see, each company uses different parts, and the parts can also vary from one model to another, even if they were made by the same company. So, you should never purchase aesthetic laser machines until you verify where your parts will come from and how they will be repaired or replaced.

Do It Your Self Repairs:

As a cosmetic laser technician, you might consider yourself to be pretty handy with mechanical devices. So, there may be some minor do-it-yourself (DIY) repairs that you can perform on your own. Even so, you should always remember these two things:

  1. Even if you can fix the problem yourself, you still need to gain access to the right parts for your cosmetic laser machine.
  2. Some cosmetic laser machine repairs are too complex for the users to repair or replace. Instead, a professional repair technician will be required.

To put it simply, you have to make sure that you will have access to both the parts and the repair assistance that you may need. That could come from the medical laser machine manufacturer or from another company, but the assistance needs to be available. So, be sure to research the availability of those parts and services thoroughly ahead of time.

Avoid Medical Lasers with Known Consumable Parts:

Consumable parts are essentially parts that are designed to break or wear out over time. Manufactures often use consumable parts in an effort to make buyers sign service contracts with them or come to them for regular repairs. It’s a way for the manufactures to generate ongoing revenue from each cosmetic laser sold. But rest assured that some lasers have less consumable parts than others. You just need to do some research in order to find them.

Older Models Are More Dependable:

Typically, it’s the newer aesthetic laser equipment that tend to have the most consumable parts. Models made prior to 2005 are often more dependable and need fewer repairs. Of course, whether or not you choose to buy an older used cosmetic laser depends on both your budget and the services that you want to offer to your customers.

Aesthetic laser machines are definitely not all created equal, but they are more equal than you might think, especially when it comes to models made over the last decade or so. So, if you don’t want to fall into the trap of constantly needing parts for aesthetic laser machines, the older models really are the way to go, at least in most cases. But regardless of the age of the laser, you should make sure that the technical support is available for it, just in case of unexpected problems.
